What Is JMP And How Does It Work?


Computer software, JMP was developed in 1980 to sole the complex statistical issues. The JMP system works with the Macintosh operating system and the Windows system as well. JMP software was established by SAS Institute.

The Basic Design

Version 4 collects data from the variety of data sources that were broader than version 2 or 3. Moreover, version 4 has the additional application of time series forecasting. It also had some of the new models like seasonal smoothing approach, which is also known as ARIMA. It stands for Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average.

Due to the continuous improvement of this software, the establisher decided to make it operating for the other system too. Right now, the latest version of JMP is version 11 which is also present in Excel. It is also adaptable to collect data along with the dynamic images in the background or the memory.
