Computer software, JMP was developed in 1980 to sole the complex statistical issues. The JMP system works with the Macintosh operating system and the Windows system as well. JMP software was established by SAS Institute.
JMP software can be utilized in many applications like clinical research study, experiment design, 6 sigma, and engineering. This software is commonly used to explore the information. Users can use this software to analyze the information that is not known to them, rather than validating a hypothesis. JMP uses reliable data tools from different sources and selects the appropriate solution for the statistical issue. It can also tackle the bugs, crashes and numeric problems.
Many components are included in this software i.e. Database, Display, Data import and export, Tabulate, Profilers, JMP Help, Formula Editor, Macintosh and Query builders. Some of the other functions of this software include Interactive HTML, Scripting, Importing data and Distribution.
Modules in JMP
Some of the techniques that are offered by JMP which helps in solving the statistical issues are as follows:
• Neural network modeling
• Text analysis
• Mixed models
• Generalized linear models
• Classification and regression trees
Some of the complex topics that are included in JMP are:
• Cluster • Categorical • Contour Plots • Control Charts • Fit Model • Mixed Models • Generalized Regression • PLS • Graph Builder • Maps • Multivariate • Profilers • Tabulate • Uplift • Interactive HTML • JMP Help • Profilers • Scripting • Data Import and Export • Data Tables • Database • Formula Editor • Macintosh • Query Builder
If JMP can be added in Microsoft Excel, it would be very easy to import the information from Excel to JMP. Five of the various items that it consists are JMP Scientific, JMP Pro, particularly JMP, JMP Chart Contractor and JMP Genomics.
The Basic Design
This software was basically designed for the people who do not have any information and knowledge with respect to stats. Another component of this software is JMP Programming language. This software is used by the students from all over the world. They use this software for the wildlife monitoring. However, there are certain groups that use this JMP software for the footprint identification.
They use this technology to investigate and analyze new species. One can also use this software in analyzing the DNA’s of different species of plants. In 1980, John Sall and his team built up this software that was quite similar to Apple Macintosh. This program was first released in October 1989. This software was quite useful for the scientists, engineers, researchers or anyone who is not Ph.D. in stats.
Some other graphics attributes were installed in 1991 with the version 2.0. The version 2 was first developed on the floppy disc. It was the document that required 2 MB of memory and comes with 700 pages.
After that, Microsoft added its support in 1994. In 1999, the version 3 of JMP was evolved and version 4 was introduced in 2002. Version 4 collects data from the variety of data sources that were broader than version 2 or 3. Moreover, version 4 has the additional application of time series forecasting. It also had some of the new models like seasonal smoothing approach, which is also known as ARIMA. It stands for Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average.
Due to the continuous improvement of this software, the establisher decided to make it operating for the other system too. Right now, the latest version of JMP is version 11 which is also present in Excel. It is also adaptable to collect data along with the dynamic images in the background or the memory.
This software not only helps the engineers, scientists or researchers, it helps the students as well in their homework with the finest possible creditability and precision.
